The 'GreenWave' Premiere At Manchester Town Hall

(2010) 72mins

The 'GreenWave' premiere at Manchester Town Hall on the 21st of May 2010. The cast arrived on a vintage double-decker bus and were met by the new Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Mark Hackett.Below is a letter sent by one of the older participants, Marie Pandolfo, to her local newspaper:

Being one of the cast in the film "THE GREENWAVE" I travelled on the open top bus from Blackley to The Town Hall. What a wonderful experience for the children. They waved and cheered all the way. And the response from the public was fantastic.
Arriving at The Town Hall we were met by a crowd, the shouts of “Oh! Look at all the people”. The great thing then was to walk up the Red Carpet and be met at the top of the steps with a warm greeting from The Lord Mayor.
A lovely wonderful evening, so much deserved.
These children and all the cast have dedicated so much time into the making of the film. Every minute enjoyed, lots of fun, old and young blending in and becoming one big happy family.
To Jacqui Carroll, Terry Egan and all the wonderful help and direction from Reel Manchester a big Thank You for giving us so much pleasure in taking part in this film, and for the great night you gave us. Was so enjoyed by all. What’s next?
