Video. Langworthy, Salford. October, 2003. (46mins).
The morning after the night before and a group of Salford teenagers are dragged through the previous weekend’s events to discover the cost of binge drinking and so called ‘joy’ riding. The film follows the success of City mad JayDee who’s been picked for City Girls, and the romantic antics of newfound Salford poet, ‘Wrong Un’ who’s on for a night of passion with Emma (Emmerdale’s Vicky Binns). But also on the criss-cross path line snaking its way through Salford’s streets is ASBO breaking Kasper full of anger and determined to beat the order and older brother McCauley Lee who wants to go out on the razz for a bit of harmless fun. There are lots of laughs and blags and all goes well till the morning comes and memory teases itself back. For some there’s just a thing or two we wouldn’t have done had we been sober but most have to take at least some responsibility for some tragic consequences and learn the hard lesson that the choices we make can affect the lives and deaths of all around us.
