REELmcr has not needed to advertise or release publicity to attract clients – all
projects have come through word of mouth. Many of our clients have come from
recommendations from previous clients because of the success of our initial
project.
What difference has REELmcr made?
In the last year REELmcr has :
- Conducted 92 workshops with nearly 1500 attendees from all parts of the
community.
- Of all participants: - 18% gained accreditation - 9%
went on to further education - Over
5% went on to gain employment.
The above illustrates the ability of the facilitative process to result
in tangible positive outcomes in what many would consider very difficult
circumstances. In addition, each project has made a difference to both individuals
and the wider community by building trust, confidence, pride as well as equipping
participants with new skills and positive life experiences.
Of those going on to secure employment REELmcr has employed 5 previous participants.
One of these employees has subsequently gained level 3 accreditation within
REELmcr and is now a fully trained and qualified drama worker employed by
REELmcr, again illustrating the benefits of REELmcr’s work and determination
to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
Recently, REELmcr was commissioned by the Academy for Sustainable Communities
to make a film to show at it’s European launch event.
